Bishkek, Nov. 24, 2025. /Kabar/. Representatives of the three countries met to discuss the progress of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway project, Ministry of Transport and Communications reports.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Transport of Kyrgyzstan Absattar Syrgabayev, the Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Makhkamov and special representatives from the Chinese side.
At the event, the parties reviewed the current status of the project and noted that the construction of the railway had entered the practical stage. Minister Absattar Syrgabayev stated that the project should be completed within the specified time frame, and Kyrgyzstan is ready to provide all necessary assistance to accelerate construction work.
Currently, tunnel excavation, construction of temporary infrastructure, organizational and administrative work are underway.
It is worth noting that the implementation of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway project is an important project not only for Kyrgyzstan, but also for the entire region. It will shorten freight transportation distances, expand transit opportunities, and create new jobs. In addition, it will bring economic cooperation between the countries to a new level.
