Bishkek, Jan. 31, 2025. /Kabar/. During a working visit to Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasymaliev met with Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov.
The meeting took place within the framework of a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Almaty.
The head of the Kyrgyz Cabinet emphasized the high dynamics of the consistent development of interstate relations between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan in all areas of mutual interest. He also noted that in the economic area of cooperation, there is a steady growth in mutual trade, the range of goods is expanding, and the volumes of exports and imports are increasing. Adylbek Kasymaliev conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov to Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, adding that thanks to the strong political will of the heads of the two states, today Kyrgyz-Uzbek relations fully meet the long-term interests of the fraternal peoples of the two countries.
Uzbek Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov congratulated him on his appointment as Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and wished him further success in this responsible government position. Abdulla Aripov invited him to visit Uzbekistan and take part in the 4th Tashkent Investment Forum.
During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of Kyrgyz-Uzbek cooperation, including the development of trade and economic ties, the implementation of joint investment projects and the strengthening of transport and logistics cooperation.
During the meeting the special attention was paid to issues of water and energy partnership, industrial cooperation and the expansion of humanitarian contacts. The heads of government of the two countries mutually expressed their readiness to further deepen cooperation aimed at ensuring sustainable economic growth and strengthening friendly ties between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
