Kyrgyzstan and France to set up cultural centers

Bishkek, April 20, 2026. /Kabar/. First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Daniyar Amangeldiev met with French Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot and Diplomatic Advisor to the President of France Bertrand Bushwalter on April 18.

The meeting took place within the framework of Amangeldiev's working visit to France.

During the talks, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of Kyrgyz-French cooperation across the entire spectrum of bilateral relations.

Particular attention was paid to political dialogue, trade, economic and investment cooperation, expanding the contractual and legal framework, developing cultural and humanitarian ties, and coordinating approaches to current international and regional issues.

Kyrgyz side confirmed its interest in further activating bilateral relations at all levels, promoting joint projects, expanding the presence of French business in Kyrgyzstan, and strengthening humanitarian cooperation.

French side, in turn, confirmed its interest in continuing a meaningful dialogue with Kyrgyzstan, developing mutually beneficial cooperation, and maintaining regular contacts on all bilateral agendas.

As a result of the meeting, the parties signed agreement on the establishment and operation of cultural centers designed to further stimulate the development of humanitarian and cultural ties between Kyrgyzstan and France.
