Kyrgyzstan and India intend to expand cooperation in culture sphere

Bishkek, June 17, 2025. / Kabar /. Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic Mirbek Mambetaliev met with Ambassador of India to Kyrgyzstan Birender Singh Yadav.

The Culture Ministry reported that, during the meeting the parties noted the sustainable nature of Kyrgyz-Indian cooperation in the humanitarian and cultural spheres, based on mutual respect, common values ​​and historical closeness.

Particular attention was paid to the development of youth policy, including student exchange programs and volunteer initiatives.

Prospects for expanding cooperation in the field of cinema and audiovisual content were also discussed.

The parties considered proposals for the implementation of joint film projects, the exchange of experience between film industry specialists, as well as the participation of representatives of the two countries in film festivals and professional venues, the report said.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in deepening the cultural dialogue between Kyrgyzstan and India and expressed their readiness to implement new initiatives aimed at bringing the peoples of the two countries closer together.
