Bishkek, March 31, 2025. /Kabar /. The Sixth Meeting of the Joint Kyrgyz-Kazakh Working Group on Transport and Infrastructure Development of the Almaty-Bishkek Economic Corridor was held in Almaty (Kazakhstan) with the support of the Asian Development Bank, the press service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic said.

The meeting of the working group was chaired by First Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic Talantbek Soltobaev and Deputy Chairman of the Committee of Automobile Roads of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhambyl Bakhtiyar.

Following the meeting, the parties discussed and made fundamental decisions on the composition of the technical specifications and the main parameters of the feasibility study for the Almaty-Issyk-Kul alternative highway project, determined further steps to advance the Almaty-Bishkek electric bus service project, and secured these decisions by signing the minutes of the meeting.

The parties agreed to take the necessary measures to accelerate the project.
