Cultural events play an important role in Kyrgyz-Kazakh cooperation, Minister of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva told today in Bishkek at the premiere of the documentary film "Chokan Valikhanov: Bright Star of History", dedicated to the 190th anniversary of the birth of the Kazakh scientist, historian, orientalist.
According to her, such events are the result of friendly and partnership relations at the highest level between the leaders of the two countries.
"As part of the official visit of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Kyrgyzstan, important meetings and cultural events are taking place. Today's premiere of the documentary is one of them. The film was shot at a high level. Chokan Valikhanov played a huge role in reflecting history, ethnography, and in popularizing the great Kyrgyz epic "Manas". This film has become another confirmation of the brotherhood of the Kyrgyz and Kazakhs," the minister said.
