Bishkek, Feb. 23, 2026 /Kabar/. President Sadyr Zhaparov has signed the Law ratifying the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the mutual provision of embassy buildings and land plots in Bishkek and Astana.
Tprovides for the mutual provision of buildings and land in Bishkek and Astana for free use for the needs of the embassies of the two countries and ambassadorial residences.
The document was signed on August 22, 2025 in Bishkek and adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh on January 29, 2026.
The law completes the necessary domestic procedures for the Agreement’s entry into force. It will take effect seven days after official publication.
The move formalizes reciprocal diplomatic property arrangements between the two countries and eliminates rental costs for embassy and residence facilities.
