Kyrgyzstan, Kuwait intend to expand economic cooperation

Bishkek, Feb. 21, 2025. /Kabar/. Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev met on February 20 withMinister of Trade and Industry of the State of Kuwait Khalifa Abdullah al-Ajil as part of hisofficial visit.

According to the Foreign Ministry, during the talks, Kulubaev presented in detail the current reforms in the Kyrgyz Republic aimed at improving the investment climate, and noted the significant potential for expanding Kyrgyz-Kuwaiti cooperation in trade, economic and investment spheres.

In this context, the Kyrgyz minister invited the minister of trade and industry of Kuwait to visit the Kyrgyz Republic as part of the investment forum "Central Asia - Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Persian Gulf", which is scheduled to be held in late June - early July 2025.

In addition, he proposed organizing a Kyrgyz-Kuwaiti business forum, which will become an effective platform for establishing business ties and discussing promising business initiatives between entrepreneurs of the two countries.

Minister Khalifa Abdullah al-Ajil thanked the Kyrgyz side for the invitation and expressed support for the initiative to hold a Kyrgyz-Kuwaiti business forum. He also emphasized the importance of strengthening and expanding economic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Kuwait.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to intensify joint efforts aimed at developing trade and economic cooperation and expanding contacts between the business communities of the two countries, which will form the basis for a long-term and mutually beneficial partnership.
