Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia to take cultural and tourist cooperation to new level

Bishkek, May 20, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Ambassador to Mongolia Aibek Moldogaziev met the Minister of Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth of Mongolia Zhukov Aldarjavkhlan in Ulaanbaatar.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the meeting, the parties noted with satisfaction the high level of Kyrgyz-Mongolian relations based on friendship and the common historical and cultural heritage of the two peoples.

The parties discussed the prospects for developing cooperation in the fields of culture, tourism, youth policy and cinematography. Particular attention was paid to expanding cultural exchanges, holding joint events, as well as reviving the Days of Friendship and Culture of Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia.

Aibek Moldogaziev informed the Mongolian side about preparations for the VI World Nomad Games, which will be held in Kyrgyzstan from August 31 to September 6, 2026, and expressed his hope that Mongolia will actively participate in the upcoming games, including sports, cultural, and scientific and expert events.

In addition, they discussed cooperation in the tourism sector, including the development of ties between travel companies of the two countries and the promotion of joint tourist routes.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue active cooperation in the areas discussed.
