Bishkek, Sept. 27, 2026 /Kabar/. On the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York, a Joint Communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries was signed during a meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Niger Bakary Yaou Sangaré.
According to the ministry, during the discussion, Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev noted that the Kyrgyz Republic attaches particular importance to developing and expanding ties with countries on the African continent, including the Republic of Niger.
The parties also discussed current issues regarding cooperation within international organizations, including the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and other multilateral forums.
Following the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in expanding cooperation and further developing friendly relations.
