Bishkek, Sept. 2, 2025 /Kabar/. The first consular consultations between Kyrgyzstan and Qatar were held in Bishkek today.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that the delegation of Kyrgyzstan was headed by Director of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Seitek Zhumakadyr uulu, the delegation of Qatar - by Director of the Consular Department Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Subai.
The parties discussed a wide range of topical issues of mutual interest and exchanged views on the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral consular cooperation.
The special attention was paid to the issues of expanding the legal framework and the establishment of the institution of honorary consul.
Another important topic of the consultations was ensuring the protection of the rights and interests of citizens of the two states and the creation of favorable conditions for their stay in the territories of both countries.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to continue to maintain close and regular contacts on all issues of mutual interest, the report says.
