Kyrgyzstan and Slovakia to develop partnership in key economic sectors

Bishkek, Feb. 13, 2025. /Kabar/. Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Sanzhar Bolotov held a meeting with Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Kyrgyzstan (with residence in Nur-Sultan) Robert Kirnagi.

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce reported that the meeting discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation, as well as joint events planned for April 2025, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Intergelpo cooperative in the territory of the Kyrgyz SSR.

Sanzhar Bolotov noted the readiness of the Kyrgyz Republic to develop partnership with Slovakia in key sectors such as pharmaceuticals, mechanical engineering, renewable energy sources and tourism. He emphasized the importance of stimulating trade and economic cooperation between the countries to create new opportunities and strengthen economic ties.

Robert Kirnagy expressed the high interest of the Slovak side in expanding business cooperation and confirmed the readiness of Slovak entrepreneurs to study opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation in the designated sectors of the economy of the Kyrgyz Republic. Summing up the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral economic ties and expressed confidence in the successful implementation of the planned joint activities that will contribute to the development of mutually beneficial relations and strengthening business contacts between Kyrgyzstan and Slovakia.
