Bishkek, March 13, 2025. /Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan plan to increase the volume of mutual trade to $500 million, said visiting President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon following talks with President Sadyr Zhaparov.
During the meeting in Bishkek, the leaders discussed the prospects for the development of industrial cooperation as a key factor in expanding economic ties between the two countries.
According to Emomali Rahmon, Tajikistan proposed to continue the practice of creating joint ventures in promising industries.
"Currently, more than 40 joint Tajik-Kyrgyz enterprises operate in Tajikistan. We see great potential for further development in this area," the president of Tajikistan said.
The parties also agreed to intensify the work of relevant ministries and departments to implement the plans and eliminate barriers that hinder the growth of mutual trade and industrial cooperation.
