Kyrgyzstan and Togo sign number of documents

Bishkek, April 29, 2026 /Kabar/. Currently, a number of bilateral documents were signed during the meeting between the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov and the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Togo, Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé in Yntymak Ordo.

The following 8 documents were adopted:

  • Agreement on the mutual abolition of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic, official and service passports;
  • Agreement on the support and mutual protection of investments;
  • Agreement on cooperation in the field of culture;
  • Memorandum of cooperation in the field of digital development and information technologies;
  • Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Higher Education;
  • Agreement on Cooperation in Agriculture;
  • Memorandum of Cooperation in the Healthcare Sector;
  • Memorandum of Cooperation between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the two countries.

“Today is a historic meeting between the two countries. Today, we discussed promising areas of meaningful and effective cooperation in a friendly atmosphere. As a result, we reached important agreements. Kyrgyzstan is interested in continuing promising cooperation,” Sadyr Zhaparov noted.

Togolese leader Faure Essozimna Gnassingbe is on official visit to Kyrgyzstan. This is the first official visit of the Togolese leader to Kyrgyzstan. Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established in 2015.
