Bishkek, March 17, 2026. /Kabar/. Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM) signed a memorandum aimed at developing cooperation in powerboating, event tourism, and international sporting events.
According to the ministry's press service, the document provides for the possibility of hosting international powerboating competitions in Kyrgyzstan, including a stage of the UIM F1H2O World Championship.
The parties also expressed their readiness to promote the development of powerboating in the country, including supporting the initiative to create a national federation.
It is noted that the conditions of Issyk-Kul Lake are favorable for hosting high-level competitions, which will attract tourists and enhance Kyrgyzstan's prestige on the global sports arena.
