Bishkek, July 9, 2025. /Kabar/. President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov today, July 9, as part of a state visit to the Republic of Tajikistan, held talks with Chairman of the National Council - the upper house of the Supreme Assembly of Tajikistan Rustam Emomali.

Before the talks, the head of state was shown the new parliament building, after which he left a note in the book of honored guests.

During the talks, the parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation and promotion of the inter-parliamentary vector.

Rustam Emomali, warmly welcoming Sadyr Zhaparov, emphasized that the visit of the head of Kyrgyzstan is an important event in the history of bilateral relations and opens up new horizons for interstate and inter-parliamentary cooperation.

This visit at the highest level testifies to the firm desire of the two states to strengthen friendship, good neighborliness and sustainable partnership.

Rustam Emomali expressed the readiness of the Tajik side to further deepen inter-parliamentary cooperation, including through joint events, as well as expanding contacts between parliamentary committees and friendship groups.

In his speech, the head of state noted that Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to strengthening the inter-parliamentary dialogue with Tajikistan and considers this area an integral part of the progressively developing interstate relations.

In this regard, the President emphasized the significant role of the parliament in coordinated work on the comprehensive expansion and meaningful filling of Kyrgyz-Tajik cooperation.

"The Kyrgyz side is fully committed to jointly with the Tajik side to create conditions aimed at the development of the two states in an environment of peace, security and stability," Sadyr Zhaparov noted.

He also expressed confidence that the negotiations held and the agreements reached will become a good basis for further deepening mutually beneficial inter-parliamentary and interstate relations for the benefit of the prosperity of the two countries and peoples.
