Bishkek, Oct. 10, 2025. /Kabar/. Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic Marat Tagaev participated in an event celebrating International Day of the Girl Child. According to the ministry, the celebratory event was organized by UNICEF in Kyrgyzstan in collaboration with partners from the public, private, and civil society sectors.
The event was attended by over 150 girls from Chui region, participants and alumni of the Girls in Science program by UNICEF, school and young environmental leaders, as well as representatives of government agencies, international organizations, innovative and educational institutions, and mentors. The goal of this event is to support girls' aspirations for education, science, and leadership, and to strengthen their role in public life.
For reference: On December 19, 2011, the UN General Assembly declared October 11 as International Day of the Girl Child to recognize their rights and the challenges they face worldwide.
