Bishkek, July 21, 2026. /Kabar/. In his address to the nation, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov spoke about a new approach to rural housing construction.
According to the head of state, many villages have virtually no available land for private home construction. For example, even in a village with a population of about 500 households, there may be around 200 young families on the waiting list for a plot of land.
Consequently, state housing policy is gradually changing. The development of populated areas will occur not only through territorial expansion but also through the construction of apartment buildings.
"We have already begun constructing multi-apartment buildings ranging from three to five stories in villages," noted Sadyr Zhaparov.
The president announced that he will personally visit these communities soon to demonstrate the advantages of the new approach and demonstrate that comfortable living is possible in rural areas, too.
