Bishkek, April 7, 2026 /Kabar/. State Secretary of Kyrgyzstan Arslan Koychiev today honored the memory of those killed in the April events of 2010.
According to the presidential administration, he laid flowers at the memorial to the heroes of the April 2010 People's Revolution at the Ata-Beyit National Historical and Memorial Complex. Memorial prayer was also read.

The event was attended by Elkinbek Ashirbayev, Chui Oblast governor, Aibek Dzhunushaliev, Mayor of Bishkek, and others.
As a reminder, the Day of People's April Revolution is tragical memory day, when about 100 people were killed and many hundreds injured on April 7, 2010 during the unrest and mass anti-government protests in Bishkek against government corruption and increased living expenses, which brought to President Kurmanbek Bakiyev to flee the country.
