Bishkek, Sept. 26, 2025 /Kabar/. On September 25, on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev of the Kyrgyz Republic met with Foreign Minister Frederick Audley Mitchell of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a signing ceremony for a Joint Communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations took place during the meeting. The ministers emphasized that this step will serve as a starting point for developing cooperation in the political, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.
Kyrgyzstan and the Bahamas agreed to develop dialogue between their foreign ministries, exchange visits, and expand cooperation in areas such as agriculture, tourism, sustainable development, and finance.
The parties placed particular emphasis on climate change, expressing their intention to jointly advance initiatives to protect ecosystems and transition to green development.
