Kyrgyzstan, Congo interested in strengthening political dialogue

Bishkek, Feb. 25, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeenbek Kulubaev met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Congo Therese Wagner in Geneva.

According to the department, the meeting took place within the framework of the high-level segments of the UN Human Rights Council and the Conference on Disarmament, which took place on February 24.

During the talks, the parties discussed the possibilities of developing bilateral and multilateral cooperation and noted their mutual interest in strengthening political dialogue, as well as expanding economic, trade and humanitarian ties.

Minister Kulubaev invited his colleague to visit Kyrgyzstan, and also invited the Democratic Republic of the Congo to participate in the II Global Mountain Summit to be held in 2027 and to send a sports delegation to World Nomad Games 2026.

As a result, the parties confirmed their intention to work together to further update and strengthen mutually beneficial relations between Kyrgyzstan and the Congo.
