Bishkek, Oct. 22, 2026 /Kabar/. Ulan Mamatkanov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan took part in an event marking the handover of Starlink terminals to 25 schools across various regions of the country to provide access to high-speed satellite internet.

The equipment was provided by the company free of charge and transferred to the educational institutions to ensure access to high-speed satellite internet. This initiative is being implemented as part of a consistent state policy aimed at developing digital infrastructure and ensuring access to modern communication services for educational, medical, and other social facilities, including those located in remote and hard-to-reach areas.

This work is being carried out under the leadership of President Sadyr Zhaparov, and with the direct support of the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration, Adylbek Kasymaliev.

Notably, a pilot project to introduce satellite internet in Kyrgyzstan was launched in 2025. Following its implementation, relevant regulatory legal acts were adopted, establishing the framework for the ongoing use of modern satellite communication technologies.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Ulan Mamatkanov emphasized that one of the state’s top priorities is to bridge the digital divide and create equal opportunities for obtaining a quality education, regardless of where a person lives.

"Our goal is to ensure that every student, whether they live in a city or a remote village can access modern educational resources. Today, internet access means access to knowledge, new technologies, and opportunities for development. That is why we are consistently working to expand digital infrastructure across all regions of the country," he stated.

Special attention has been given to the effective use of the provided equipment and the integration of digital technologies into the daily educational process.

The Cabinet of Ministers will continue its systematic efforts to create the necessary conditions for connecting schools, medical facilities, and other social institutions to modern communication services, with a primary focus on regions that currently have limited internet access. The core objective of this work is to build an accessible digital environment in which every citizen, regardless of their place of residence, can benefit from the possibilities offered by modern technology.
