Kyrgyzstan demonstrates openness and new technologies

Bishkek, Nov. 25, 2025./Kabar/. Tynchtyk Shainazarov, Chairman of the Central Commission for Elections met with Rémy Duflo, Head of the European Union Delegation to the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the meeting, the parties discussed preparations for the upcoming early parliamentary elections, as well as cooperation with international partners to ensure the openness and transparency of the electoral process. Shainazarov emphasized that Kyrgyzstan is open to the widest possible participation of international observers. As of November 24, 2025, the Central Election Commission had already accredited 770 international observers from 58 countries.

Rémy Duflo, in turn, announced that six EU representatives will monitor the parliamentary elections. He also expressed interest in a number of key issues: the organization of remote voting, candidates' compliance with established procedures, campaigning measures, and ensuring gender and ethnic representation on the lists. Voting considerations for Kyrgyzstanis abroad and mechanisms for informing them in a timely manner were discussed separately.

Shainazarov provided detailed explanations on all the topics discussed. At the end of the meeting, the updated remote voting system, which will be used in the upcoming elections, was demonstrated.
