Bishkek, Feb. 5, 2026. /Kabar/. The first consultations on consular issues were held via videoconference between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan and the Arab Republic of Egypt.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Kyrgyz delegation was led by Seitek Zhumakadyr uulu, Director of the Consular Department, and the Egyptian delegation was led by Haddad El Gohary, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Consular Affairs.
The parties discussed a wide range of current issues and exchanged views on the current state and prospects for developing bilateral consular cooperation.
Particular attention was paid to issues of interaction between the parties and the expansion of the legal framework on specific issues in accordance with the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations of April 24, 1963. Important topic of the consultations was the timely protection of the rights and interests of citizens of both countries and the creation of favorable conditions for their stay in both countries.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to closely cooperate on all issues of mutual interest.
