Bishkek, Sept. 2, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Minister of Economy and Commerce Bakyt Sydykov met with Egyptian Deputy Prime Minister Hussein Eissa.
According to the ministry, on September 1, Sydykov met with Egyptian Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Dr. Hussein Eissa, who arrived in Kyrgyzstan to participate in the SCO Heads of State Summit.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for further strengthening Kyrgyz-Egyptian trade, economic, and investment cooperation. They expressed interest in increasing mutual trade, expanding direct ties between businesses in the two countries, attracting investment, and developing joint initiatives in industry, agriculture, energy, tourism, pharmaceuticals, and other promising areas.
Particular attention was paid to the practical implementation of the agreements reached following the official visit of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov to Egypt in November 2025.
The parties emphasized the importance of further developing the legal framework and intensifying the work of the Kyrgyz-Egyptian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Scientific, and Technical Cooperation as a key mechanism for advancing bilateral economic cooperation.
