Bishkek, Sept. 26, 2025 /Kabar/. On September 25, Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev met with Foreign Minister of the Republic of South Sudan, Monday Semaiya Kumba, in New York City on the sidelines of the 80th anniversary session of the UN General Assembly.
According to the Kyrgyz MFA, during the meeting, the two sides signed a Joint Communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations.
Kulubaev invited his counterpart to visit Kyrgyzstan and expressed confidence that this meeting would further develop and strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
The parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation, including establishing and intensifying bilateral political dialogue and interaction within international organizations, including the UN.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their interest in maintaining close working contacts and expressed their readiness to further expand their bilateral partnership.
