Bishkek, May 15, 2026. /Kabar/. Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev and Justice Minister Ayaz Baetov held a joint meeting with members of the European Parliament.
Nacho Sánchez Amor, Kristian Vigenin, European parliament members participated in the meeting.
According to the Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the meeting, the ministers emphasized that developing equal and mutually beneficial cooperation with the European Union is a foreign policy priority for the Kyrgyz Republic. They also noted the importance of expanding trade, economic, investment, and transport ties.
Member of the European Parliament Nacho Sánchez Amor, in turn, praised the Kyrgyz side's willingness to engage in open dialogue on pressing cooperation issues and emphasized the European Union's respect for the Kyrgyz Republic's legal system. He also noted the importance of implementing joint projects in critical minerals, transport, the rule of law, education, and tourism.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to maintain regular political contacts to further strengthen comprehensive cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the European Parliament.
