Bishkek, June 12, 2026 /Kabar/. On June 11, Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev met with Deputy Prime Minister and Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili, who arrived in the Kyrgyz capital as part of official visit by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
According to the Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of Kyrgyz-Georgian cooperation, noting the importance of further developing political dialogue and strengthening the bilateral partnership.
Meeting participants paid particular attention to the results of the second meeting of the Kyrgyz-Georgian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, held that same day in Bishkek. The parties discussed opportunities for cooperation in trade, transport, tourism, and digitalization, and exchanged views on pressing international and regional issues.
The Georgian Foreign Minister congratulated the Kyrgyz side on its election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for 2027–2028. Furthermore, Makoy Bochorishvili expressed interest in learning from Kyrgyzstan's experience in conducting this election campaign.
In turn, Jeenbek Kulubaev invited the Georgian side to participate in the Second Mountain Summit, which will be held in October 2027.
Following the talks, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in further expanding Kyrgyz-Georgian cooperation and maintaining active dialogue at all levels.
