Bishkek, June 25, 2026. /Kabar/. The Ombudsmen of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, Jamilya Dzhamanbaeva and Artur Lastayev, signed an amendment to the Memorandum of Cooperation of 2022.

According to the Institute of the Ombudsmen of the Kyrgyz Republic, under the updated agreement, human rights defenders from the two countries will continue to promptly exchange data on violations of citizens' rights, assist in restoring them, and hold joint meetings. They also plan to organize mutual monitoring visits and other events to protect human rights and freedoms.

It is noted that in 2025, the Institute of Akyikatchy of Kyrgyzstan received two requests from Kazakhstani citizens.
