Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia to implement joint industrial projects

Bishkek, April 2, 2026. /Kabar/. Today, April 2, Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeenbek Kulubaev received Mongolian Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Sodnom Gankhuyag in connection with the completion of his diplomatic mission.

According to the ministry, the parties discussed topical issues of cooperation between the two countries, paying special attention to the implementation of agreements reached during the state visit of President Sadyr Zhaparov to Mongolia in 2023 and the state visit of Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh to Kyrgyzstan in 2025.

The schedule of upcoming visits at the highest levels was also reviewed.

Particular attention was paid to the promotion of joint industrial projects, in particular, practical steps to launch the “Kasiyet” worsted-spinning factory.

The minister invited the Mongolian delegation to participate in the World Nomad Games to be held in Kyrgyzstan in 2026, noting the important role of Mongolia in preserving and promoting nomadic culture.

As part of the discussion of regional cooperation, the parties also reviewed interaction in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), taking into account the current chairmanship of Kyrgyzstan in the organization.

Sodnom Gankhuyag expressed confidence that friendly relations between the two countries would continue to strengthen.

At the meeting, Jeenbek Kulubaev highly appreciated Gankhuyag’s personal contribution to the development of Kyrgyz-Mongolian relations and the expansion of political dialogue, awarded him with a Certificate of Honor from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and wished him success in his further activities.
