Bishkek, May 20, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeenbek Kulubaev met with Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Mozambican Communities Abroad of Mozambique Maria de Fatima Simão Manso.
According to the ministry, the parties discussed prospects for deepening Kyrgyz-Mozambican cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral formats. Particular attention was paid to developing political dialogue, expanding trade and economic ties, strengthening cooperation within international organizations, and implementing joint initiatives in the areas of sustainable development, digitalization, and security.
The head of Kyrgyzstan's Foreign Ministry noted the country's sustainable economic growth, ongoing systemic reforms, and the expansion of industrial and infrastructural potential. It was emphasized that Kyrgyzstan has begun to intensify cooperation with African countries, including developing practical collaboration in agriculture, mining, energy, digital governance, and humanitarian affairs.
Following the visit, they signed memorandum of understanding on holding regular inter-ministerial political consultations aimed at institutionalizing political dialogue and coordinating cooperation on the international stage.
The parties noted that this visit is historic in nature and opens a new stage in Kyrgyz-Mozambican relations, laying the foundation for long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation.
