Bishkek, Sept. 29, 2026. /Kabar/. The Kyrgyz national football team played a friendly match against the Maldives national team as part of the FIFA international calendar on Monday in Bishkek.
Adylbek Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan and President of the Kyrgyz Football Union (KFU), attended the match and supported the national team.
This match was the first for Urmat Abdukaimov, the recently appointed head coach of the national team. The friendly ended with a 5-0 victory for Kyrgyzstan.
On October 4, the Kyrgyz national team will play another match against Lebanon. These friendlies are an important part of the team's preparation for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup finals.
