Bishkek, June 26, 2026. /Kabar/. On June 25, First Deputy Foreign Minister Asein Isaev received Serge Rumin, Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office for Dialogue and Confidence-Building Measures.
According to Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry, the Kyrgyz side informed about qualitatively new stage of regional cooperation in Central Asia. Thanks to the political will of regional leaders, historic agreements on border issues have been reached in recent years, creating a solid foundation for further strengthening mutual trust, developing good-neighborly relations, and expanding comprehensive regional integration.
The parties also discussed Kyrgyzstan's interaction with the current Swiss OSCE Chairmanship. Kyrgyzstan highly appreciated Switzerland's attention to Central Asia and expressed interest in further strengthening cooperation within the OSCE, including holding joint events at the OSCE Ministerial Council meeting in Lugano on December 3-4, 2026.
Following the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their mutual readiness to continue constructive dialogue and develop partnership between Kyrgyzstan and the Swiss OSCE Chairmanship.
