Bishkek, Oct. 8, 2026 /Kabar/. On October 7, a delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan participated in a meeting of the foreign ministers of Central Asian countries and the Republic of Azerbaijan in the city of Turkmenbashi.
According to the Foreign Ministry's press service, the meeting addressed draft outcome documents and the agenda for the upcoming eighth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Kyrgyz side emphasized the importance of strengthening political dialogue and upholding the principles of equality, consensus, and respect for the national interests of the states involved.
First Deputy Minister Asein Isaev highlighted the priority of developing trade, economic, and investment cooperation, as well as industrial and agricultural collaboration and the expansion of transport and logistics links.
Particular attention was paid to integrating transport routes, including the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway project with the infrastructure of regional states, Caspian routes, and access to international markets.
Following the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their readiness to further strengthen multilateral cooperation and ensure the consistent implementation of the agreements reached, including through regular consultations between foreign policy agencies and interaction between relevant government bodies.
