Bishkek, May 25, 2026 /Kabar/. Aida Alymova, Chair of the ICOM Kyrgyzstan National Committee and Director of the Kurmanjan Datka Center for Nomadic Civilization, took part in the international festival "Intermuseum BRICS+," which was held in Moscow from May 20 to 23, the Ministry of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
At the festival, Aida Alymova spoke at the plenary sessions "Traditions and Innovations in the Contemporary Museum" and "New Formats of Interaction between Museum Associations and Inter-museum Cooperation." The festival, themed "Museums—Spaces of the Future," brought together museum professionals from BRICS+ countries, the CIS, and other regions.
A working meeting of the heads of ICOM national committees also took place, during which current issues of international museum cooperation were discussed.
The ministry clarified that participation in the festival became an important platform for promoting Kyrgyzstan's museum sector internationally and expanding professional ties.
