Kyrgyzstan presents Tamchy tourist projects at WUF13

Bishkek, May 19, 2026. /Kabar/. The 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) was held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, attended by over 45,000 delegates from 182 countries.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Communal Services, President Sadyr Zhaparov delivered a speech at the forum in which he noted that Kyrgyzstan places special emphasis on the sustainable development of mountainous regions.

At the Urban Expo, Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing, and Utilities Nurdan Oruntaev presented models of modern tourist complexes and all-season residences being built Tamchy village in Issyk-Kul region.

According to the ministry, the state is paying special attention to large-scale investment projects in tourism and infrastructure.

The projects presented include:

— "Tamchy Resort" with apartments, townhouses, cottages, villas, restaurants, and sports areas;

— "Urpaq Resort" with a water park, swimming pools, bike paths, and a private beach;

— "Elizaveta Resort," a premium complex with luxury villas, spa facilities, and international-class service infrastructure.

By order of the president, construction of tourist complexes and all-season residences is underway in Tamchy on an area of ​​100 hectares. Only 30% of the land will be used for development; the rest will be allocated for green spaces and recreational infrastructure.

Furthermore, the exhibition featured a waste processing plant project in Bishkek, which is considered one of the country's key environmental projects in the development of green technologies.
