According to the information, a total of 950 thousand 278 people visited Uzbekistan for tourist purposes in the reporting month. This figure is 271 thousand 600 people more than in the same period last year, or 40 percent more.
The leading places in terms of the number of tourists were taken by neighboring countries. In particular, 282 thousand 798 people visited from Kyrgyzstan, 244 thousand 373 from Tajikistan, and 207 thousand 858 from Kazakhstan.
In addition, 69,070 tourists from Russia, 43,572 from Afghanistan, 28,150 from Turkmenistan, 25,666 from China, 12,740 from Turkey, 6,095 from India and 3,237 from Korea were registered.
