Bishkek, Jan. 22, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan has received USD 1 billion in private investment, Eduard Kubatov, President of the Mountaineering Federation of Kyrgyzstan, said on the Kabar podcast.
According to him, this figure reflects growing investor interest in implementing long-term projects in Kyrgyzstan and increasing confidence in the country’s economic environment.
“There has never been a time in history when more than USD 1 billion in investment came to Kyrgyzstan. In 2019–2020, investments amounted to approximately 280–300 million. When investors enter a country, they carefully assess conditions, including the tax system and other indicators, as they plan to operate not for one or two years, but for 10 to 15 years. Stability is the most important factor for investors. If they see stability, they come, and with that come growth and development. In addition, the increase in investment flows would not have been possible without unity in the Central Asian region,” he said.
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that by 2023, 60 industrial enterprises with investments totaling nearly USD 1 billion had been launched in the country, creating approximately 7,700 new jobs.
