Bishkek, Nov. 3, 2026 /Kabar/. The Issyk-Kul Development Fund is providing low-interest loans to local residents, according to Kanat Kaldaraliev, the head (akim) of the Ak-Suu district in Issyk-Kul region.
He noted that as part of the first phase of the "Ala-Too Resort" mountain cluster project, special emphasis is being placed on supporting entrepreneurship.
"This year, we organized the 'Ak-Suu Development Forum' in the Ak-Suu district. It provided information for those looking to start a business or expand an existing one. Government agencies and experienced tourism organizations offered recommendations and consultations to local residents. We plan to hold this forum again next year.
Currently, local residents are preparing guesthouses and cafes to welcome visitors. The Issyk-Kul Development Fund is providing them with low-interest loans. We are also assisting entrepreneurs with the leasing of land plots and exploring the possibility of leasing out municipal facilities," the district head stated.
Kaldaraliev added that, alongside ski tourism, local residents are being encouraged to develop ethno-tourism and eco-tourism, sectors capable of attracting visitors year-roundand work in this direction is already underway.
"Tourists should not only vacation at 'Ala-Too Resort' but also explore other unique features of the region," he emphasized.
