Bishkek, March 22, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan is implementing a wind farm construction project on Issyk-Kul with the participation of the Russian state corporation Rosatom. The wind farm will be launched in 2027, Cabinet Chairman Adylbek Kasymaliev told in an interview with Mir interstate television and radio company.
According to him, work on the project has been ongoing since 2024, and the financial part is planned to be completed this year.
"The loan agreement has been signed; it is Rosatom." Installation work will begin by the end of October or November, and the first part will likely be operational in December. The rest, the second part, will follow next year. That means it will be fully operational in 2027. The first part will be operational by the end of 2026," he said.
