Bishkek, Feb. 25, 2026. /Kabar/. Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeenbek Kulubaev met with South African Foreign Minister Ronald Lamola in Geneva.
According to the department, the meeting was held within the framework of the High-level segments of the UN Human Rights Council and the Conference on Disarmament.
The parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, noted the importance of strengthening political dialogue, economic and cultural ties.
Minister Kulubaev invited his counterpart to pay an official visit to Kyrgyzstan and proposed establishing political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries.
During the conversation, the initiatives of the two countries within the framework of the UN Human Rights Council were noted, and readiness to continue positive cooperation within the framework of the UN system was confirmed.
During the meeting, the parties discussed initiatives on nomadic culture, mountain development and climate change. Kulubaev invited the South African delegation to the 2026 World Nomad Games and the 2027 Global Mountain Summit.
The parties confirmed their mutual interest in developing friendly relations between the two countries and expanding multilateral cooperation.
