Bishkek, Oct. 24, 2025 /Kabar/. Representatives of the Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz Parliament) and the Parliamentary Development Research Center participated in the international seminar of parliamentary research services, which was held on October 20-21 in Seoul, South Korea.
The event was attended by representatives and heads of research units from the parliaments of more than 18 countries. Kyrgyz Republic was represented at the seminar by Ruslanbek Saky uulu, Deputy Head of the Expert Analysis Department of the Jogorku Kenesh, and Aizhan Jakshylykova, Director of the Research Center for Parliamentary Development and Democracy under the Jogorku Kenesh.
Aizhan Jakshylykova delivered a presentation on the topic "Kyrgyzstan's Climate Policy: Legislative Initiatives and Political Challenges."
Participation in the international forum allowed the Kyrgyz side to discuss the prospects for the development of parliamentary research in the context of global challenges. Within the framework of the seminar, a meeting was held with representatives of the Institute for Future Studies and the parliamentary library of the Parliament of the Republic of Korea. During the dialogue, issues of bilateral cooperation, opportunities for conducting joint research, exchange of experience, and organizing training programs for employees of research services were discussed.
