According to the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry, the dam, the HPP building and a 6.5-kilometer water supply channel are currently being built.
The Kulanak HPP is being implemented in the Naryn district by the Naryn production enterprise. The project has a capacity of 100 MW and will produce 435 million kWh of electricity per year.
Today, June 17, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Minister Erlist Akunbekov reviewed the progress of construction work at the Kulanak HPP and gave instructions to the responsible parties to ensure the timely and high-quality completion of construction work.
HPP is planned to be commissioned in 2027. After the project is fully operational, it will contribute to reducing the country's electricity shortage and create about 2 thousand new jobs.
