Bishkek, April 4, 2025. /Kabar/. First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Daniar Amangeldiev held a meeting with representatives of Japanese companies to discuss the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral economic cooperation.
The Cabinet of Ministers said that the parties exchanged views on a wide range of issues, including investment opportunities, tourism development, cooperation in the banking sector, medicine, energy and the digital economy.
Daniar Amangeldiev emphasized the dynamic nature of Kyrgyz-Japanese relations, especially noting the significance of the official visit of President Sadyr Zhaparov to Japan in November 2023, during which key agreements were reached to deepen economic cooperation.
During the meeting, the progress of a number of joint projects was discussed in detail, including:
Construction of a year-round resort complex "CI Resort" for 300 residential buildings in the Aalam Ordo ethno-complex in the Issyk-Kul region, which will be an important step in the development of the region's tourism infrastructure.
Implementation of an advanced electronic residency system (e-Residency) in Kyrgyzstan, which opens up opportunities for foreign investors to remotely register companies, open bank accounts and do business online, which will significantly simplify the investment process.
Development of modern payment systems based on QR codes, which will help improve the convenience and efficiency of financial transactions.
Implementation of projects in the healthcare sector aimed at creating modern diagnostic centers and training qualified medical personnel.
The first deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers confirmed the readiness of the Kyrgyz Republic to create the most favorable conditions for Japanese investors, including providing tax incentives, simplifying administrative procedures and reliable protection of investors' rights.
He emphasized that Kyrgyzstan offers the most liberal tax regime in Central Asia, a favorable geographical location and a favorable business environment.
