Bishkek, Feb. 6, 2026 /Kabar/. Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic Bekten Bekbolotov met in Bishkek with Pakistani Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Altamash Wazir Khan.
According to the ministry, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in agriculture, trade, and the halal industry. Particular attention was paid to developing mutual trade in agricultural products, in particular expanding Kyrgyz bean exports to the Pakistani market.
The Pakistani side expressed interest in exchanging experiences with Kyrgyzstan in milk processing and developing the dairy industry, and also proposed short- and long-term training programs under the Pakistan Technical Assistance Program (PTAP), including courses in agriculture and forestry.
The sides agreed to intensify efforts to appoint contact persons, establish a joint working group of technical experts, develop trade in honey and dried fruits, promote joint ventures, and continue expert consultations on issues of mutual interest.
The meeting was held in a constructive atmosphere and confirmed mutual interest in further deepening cooperation, the report said.
