Bishkek, Jan. 30, 2026. /Kabar/. Today, work is underway to provide clean water in 95 villages in Chui, Osh and Issyk-Kul regions. This was reported live by Erlan Korchubai uulu, coordinator of the "Sustainable Development of Rural Water Supply and Sanitation" project.

According to him, construction of water supply facilities in 72 of the 95 villages has been completed, and people are provided with clean water.

"Construction work is underway in the remaining 23 villages. This is a project that provides a total of 210 thousand people. The most problematic issue in the project is the sustainable implementation of the project after the work is completed and put into operation. Work is underway to establish municipal enterprises and train them. Since there are few engineers in the regions, the issue of sustainable implementation of this operation is somewhat more difficult," said Korchubai uulu.

It was also added that training is being provided for local authorities within the framework of small projects and guidelines are being developed for sustainable work.
