Kyrgyzstan, Turkiye discuss deepening co-op in film and animation industry

Bishkek, June 5, 2026 /Kabar/. On the eve of June 4, official meeting was held dedicated to developing cooperation between the Kyrgyzstan and Turkiye in the field of cinematography.

The meeting was attended by Soyuzbek Nadyrbekov, First Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy; Talantbek Tolebekov, Director of the Department of Cinematography; the heads of Okeev National Film Studio "Kyrgyzfilm," the "Kyrgyzserial" Creative and Production Association, and the State Institution "Kyrgyztasmasy," as well as Ulan Satiyev, Director General of the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Corporation(UTRK), and Erlan Dogdurbekov, Director of the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (ELTR).

The Turkish side was represented by a delegation led by Birol Güven, Director General of the Cinema Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkiye, and Farruk Güven, Director General of the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Corporation (TRT).

During the meeting, the parties discussed expanding cooperation in the film and animation industries, implementing joint film projects, developing exchanges between specialists, and strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties.

The participants expressed interest in increasing the number of joint projects and taking their filmmaking partnership to a new level.

The meeting was held as part of the "Turkish Cinema Days" cultural event in Bishkek and marked an important step in developing cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Turkiye in film and animation.
