Bishkek, Feb. 2, 2026. /Kabar/. Seitek Jumakadyr uulu, director of consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, met with Kate Collins, head of the consular section of US Embassy in Kyrgyzstan, Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.
According to the department, the parties discussed in detail the current issues of bilateral cooperation in the consular sphere, paying particular attention to the latest changes in the US visa policy.
Kyrgyz side noted the importance of continuing a constructive exchange of views in order to develop mutually acceptable approaches to visa issues.
Kate Collins, speaking about some aspects related to compliance with the visa regime by Kyrgyz citizens, expressed interest in further discussion and interaction.
As a result of the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to further strengthen cooperation in all areas of consular relations.
