Bishkek, April 4, 2025. /Kabar/. A regional tourism forum-dialogue “Navruz - the most ancient cultural and tourist heritage of the region” was held in Khujand on April 1.

According to the information of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, Kyrgyzstan was represented at the forum by Director of the Department of Tourism Erdenet Kasymov.

Following the forum, 30 memorandums were signed between tour operators of the three countries, 14 of which were with Kyrgyz companies. A total of 16 travel companies participated in the event at the invitation of the department. The participants discussed the prospects for developing joint tourist routes and deepening partnerships in the tourism sector.

The Kyrgyz side also organized a national exhibition, where traditional crafts and ethnic clothing were presented.

The forum was timed to coincide with the celebration of Nooruz, a symbol of unity and common cultural heritage of the region. It became a continuation of efforts to strengthen cultural and humanitarian cooperation in Central Asia and part of the implementation of the agreements reached at the trilateral meeting of the heads of state of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
