Bishkek, Feb. 12, 2026 /Kabar/. Minister of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic Absattar Syrgabaev held talks with Uzbekistan’s Minister of Transport Ilkhom Makhkamov, the ministry reported.
The sides reviewed current issues of bilateral cooperation in the transport sector. Particular attention was given to the construction of the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway and the need to remove existing barriers hindering the full use of the transit potential of both countries.
The ministers also discussed cargo transportation to Pakistan via Kyrgyzstan and visa procedures for Uzbek freight drivers.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to expedite the resolution of outstanding issues. The talks were held in a constructive atmosphere.
